A STEAM Star lesson begins with a video of a star introducing themselves and their job, with an emphasis on how the lesson concept is crucial to their spectacular work. The video is followed by a lesson — developed by a professional educator — which teaches the concept through a dynamic, standards-aligned exercise inspired by the star’s work.

The foundation hosts and propagates the content for free to schools, museums, conventions, and community centers, with an emphasis on reaching historically marginalized groups.
